"Each night when Little Bilby leaves her burrow, she looks up to greet the moon.
And each night the moon looks down and smiles. But then one night the moon doesn't smile. A piece of the moon is missing."
Our newest playdough board design is inspired by the iconic Australian children's book, 'Bilby Moon', written by Margaret Spurling, illustrated by Danny Snell and published by Kane/Miller. This beautiful book celebrates the wonder of Australian nature and our nocturnal desert animals.
We design and make our playdough boards to be visually appealing to children, sturdy and just the right size for little hands to take off the shelf for themselves. Use the boards for playdough, salt dough, as a transient art base or for tea parties... the possibilities are endless.
They are made from sustainably sourced, premium pine, well-sanded and finished with tung oil and beeswax balm. They measure approximately 300mm long, 183mm wide and 19mm thick.
Recommended age 3+. Use under adult supervision. Not recommended for use as a teething or chew toy. Please handle gently. Only for use in dry sensory bases. Clean off using a dry toothbrush, clean cloth and re-wax every 6-12 months.
