Do we get old because we stop playing or do we stop playing when we are old? Who knows the answer really. What I do know is there aren't too many adults who wont sit down, absorb themselves in a sensory session of playdough and enjoy it. There arent too many adults who wont open a childrens book and feel that pull to know how it finishes. Most of us enjoy a card game or the feel good words of an Affirmation Card. If we lead by these examples our children will follow sometimes in a more subtle way other times with all the enthusiasm of a child looking forward to their birthday. Either way lets make play normal, lets do a little less work and make little more time for connection through play.
