The Weird Waters Psyllium Sensory Slime Collection
Natural. Taste safe. Weird. Wonderful. And just a little bit disgusting.
Welcome to Ocean Goo! A collection of natural psyllium sensory slimes inspired by some of the strangest, weirdest and most wonderfully disgusting creatures and substances found in the ocean.
Forget ordinary pink, blue and green slime. Here you’ll discover Vampire Squid Ooze, Anglerfish Puke, Sea Cucumber Snot, Hagfish Mucus, Kraken Drool, Electric Eel Bile, Jellyfish Blubber, Mudskipper Poo and Cuttlefish Ink.
Every colour has its own bizarre ocean story, and every slime is coloured using natural food and plant powders. It’s sensory play with a little bit of ocean science, a lot of imagination and just the right amount of gross.
Made with psyllium husk, these slimes have a soft, stretchy, squishy texture that’s perfect for squeezing, pulling, stretching, poking and manipulating. This type of hands-on sensory play encourages children to explore texture while supporting fine motor development, coordination, creativity, problem-solving and open-ended imaginative play. Sensory play can also provide opportunities for children to explore different sensory experiences at their own pace.
More than just slime
The Weird Waters collection is a fun way to introduce children to the weird and wonderful world of ocean creatures.
Why does a hagfish make mucus?
How does a cuttlefish use ink?
What makes a vampire squid so unusual?
What is a mudskipper?
Use the slime alongside books, ocean-themed sensory trays or your own little marine biology investigation. It’s also a wonderfully weird addition to Halloween sensory play, monster-themed play and imaginative potion making.
And because each slime is coloured with a different natural powder, you can even turn play into a simple colour investigation:
Can you guess what made the slime this colour?
Natural colour. Natural sensory play.
Each Weird Waters specimen is coloured with carefully selected natural powders such as beetroot, turmeric, matcha, spirulina, blue spirulina, purple sweet potato, cacao and charcoal.
No ordinary coloured slime here — each colour has a story.
Why sensory slime?
Sensory slime encourages children to use their hands and fingers to squeeze, pull, stretch and manipulate the material, making it a fun way to incorporate fine motor sensory play into everyday play. Sensory experiences can also encourage curiosity, experimentation and exploration.
It’s wonderful for:
